Must-Try Muesli Bowls

By Grace Noles

Despite its multiple health benefits (antioxidants, fibre, and protein!) muesli is often overlooked on a breakfast menu full of pancakes and eggs Benedict. But, here at Dish Cult, we think the real underdog of a good brunch is a seasonal bowl of muesli, which is why we’ve rounded up some of the best finds in Auckland. Enjoy!

Billy Cafe

79 Carlton Gore Road, Newmarket
Billy's House Granola

Billy brings their muesli to life with a golden crunch, colourful garnishes, and seasonal fruit. The dairy-free, vegan-friendly bowl is served up with coconut milk, local honey, and a dollop of coconut yoghurt for a taste of the tropics. Situated opposite the Auckland Domain, it’s not a bad view either.

Major Sprout

21 Graham Street, Auckland CBD
Coconut Mango Bowl from Major Sprout

Known for their beautifully-dressed and even better-tasting breakfast plates, Major Sprout are killing the muesli game too! Adding an extraordinary fruit-filled choice to our list, their Coconut Mango Bowl takes their house granola and tops it with coconut cream, fresh fruits, and banana for a creamier take on the classic granola bowl.
