While Ghost Donkey is mostly known for the sheer amount of mezcal and tequila that graces their shelves, they also have a delicious selection of Mexican-styled food. Ghost Donkey captures the taste of Mexico within their dishes. Two standout tacos are the grilled hangar steak with sherry onions and the spiced pork with pineapple, both sure to blow you mind and your tastebuds. With a sky of sparkling red lights, great decor and an amazing energetic atmosphere, each meal is it's very own fiesta!

If you’re after a truly authentic experience of Mexican tacos then look no further than the heart of Grey Lynn. The perfect taco starts with a freshly made tortilla – La Mexicana make their own tortillas inhouse the same way Mexico has created them for millennia’s past. Using nixtamalized corn masa dough and a delicious selection of ingredients that promote traditional Mexican flavours, this is an experience you won’t want to miss out on. From their slow cooked beef birria to the saucy pulled chicken tinga, they really know how to build an authentic Mexican taco.

If you’re looking for a tasty hangover cure, The Lucky Taco promises that their breakfast taco will cure that ailment with their Sunday special, combining spicy chorizo sausage, egg, and all the trimmings. If you just can’t get enough of The Lucky Taco, luckily you can also purchase a fiesta kit so you can recreate their menu at home.
