Over the last two years, raw vegan treats have taken Auckland by storm. Whether or not you follow a vegan diet, these wholesome cheesecakes and slices are a perfect way to indulge without the guilt. Often made with nuts, coconut oil, dates, almond flour and maple syrup, they not only taste great but are jam-packed with nutrients at the same time. As many cafes are jumping onboard the raw dessert trend, it's easy to become overwhelmed with the amount of choice. Don't worry, as huge fans of raw treats ourselves, we've got you covered. Check out our Raw Vegan Sweet Treat guide below.

Little Bird Unbakery

Corner Summer Street & Ponsonby Road, Ponsonby
Rocky Road from Little Bird Unbakery

Perched between Summer Street & Ponsonby Road, is the iconic Little Bird Unbakery. Inside the modern yet rustic café, you'll find their cabinet filled with a wide range of raw treats, all made without gluten, soy, and cane sugar. One of their most popular slices is the raw cacao raspberry brownie. With a vanilla coconut centre, perfectly balanced with a chocolate biscuit-like base, it's hard to believe this sweet treat is dairy, refined sugar, and gluten-free. Likewise, the rest of the cabinet is just as insane. From hazelnut slabs and gooey caramel slices to thick slices of Neapolitan cheesecake, you're going to be spoilt with many decadent options.
