Coffee legends L'affare have been supplying your favourite cafes with sustainable and fair-trade coffee beans for close to 30 years, and as of late they've decided to cut out the middle-man and bring their delicious roasts straight to the fans. Opening their flagship roastery and cafe in New Market in 2016, L'affare know how to make the perfect cup of joe–And they're definitely not ones to turn their noses up at a cold brew. With affagato (coffee over vanilla ice cream), cold brew coffee, coffee soda, and espresso martinis on the brunch menu, you'll be able to find the perfect L'affare drink to cool you down on a hot day.
Odettes oozes tropical ambience, from the Balinese villas projected on the wall to the light, airy feeling you get when you walk in–This is the place to order an iced coffee even in the colder months. Just like anything else on the menu, Odettes do their iced coffees well. A deliciously perfect blend for just the right sweetness and strength, available in a mochaccino version too!
Tucked away down a mirrored corridor in Auckland’s bustling High Street is the charming Chuffed cafe. If this sounds like a bit of you, make sure to try their iced coffee with a generous helping of ice cream and whipped cream atop a double shot espresso and vanilla milk. The light, open-space-styled cafe has various locations around the CBD and outer city area, all with the inviting options to sit and take your time, or grab an iced coffee on the run.
Go for a wonder farther than you usually would venture up Queen Street, and you'll be pleasantly surprised by the cluster of actually good cafes. Our favourite is Al's Deli, from culinary legend Al Brown of course! Cool yourself down with a refreshing iced coffee (which comes laden with whipped cream and decorative coffee beans–Great for the gram) as you soak in the atmosphere of a classic American diner, compete with real airplane seats to sit on. With a great view down Queen Street, but high up away from the pandemonium, you'll be over the moon at your find!
A must-visit lunch staple after a long morning of op-shopping down Karangahape Road, Bestie cafe has always got your back. The hugd windowed wall overlooks Meyers Park and the city landscape, making Bestie the ideal spot to stop and unwind in the middle of town. You've got two options at Bestie–An iced brew to get straight to the point, or an iced coffee for those who want to indulge a little.
