Cult-favourites Best Ugly Bagels have shaken things up, bringing back two new old school flavours. We’re saying a sad good-bye to the infamous Fricken Chicken and Tuna Melt, but a big bright HELLO to the Chickboom and Holey Smoke. Both presented on the signature Best Ugly chewy, fluffy, crispy-on-the-outside bagels, the two new flavours will rival classics like the King Salmon, Yodi, and White Rabbit. Let’s discuss…

First up, the Chickaboom has arrived to replace the Fricken Chicken. Both full of free-range chicken goodness, the Chickaboom brings a more exotic flavour than the Fricken, with curried chicken salad and rocket fuel sauce. A sprinkling of roasted almonds and spring onions is then placed on top to add a bit of crunch and texture.

Next up, and probably the most anticipated bagel flavour of the year, the Holey Smoke. Taking smoked Warehou white fish and dousing it in creme fraiche and horseradish, the smokiness takes over leaving no room for blandness on this bagel. Topped off with a generous helping of wasabi peas, the bagel is brought to life with a swift spice kick.

Both flavours are available now! And, while Al Brown’s got Best Uglies rolled out almost everywhere in Auckland, they taste the absolute best fresh out the oven at the OG dough-house in the City Works Depot. Head down early to beat the queues and get your hands all over these bad boys.
