With the announcement of Alert Level 3 in Auckland, we've had to say a temporary goodbye to some of our all-time favourite eateries who aren't staying open for contactless takeaways. One of our favourites being Karangahape Road's Apero Wine Bar, but luckily they're treating us to something extra special to keep us going through Level 3.
Reintroducing the Apero Superette – Apero's take on a mini-delicatessen to get a handful of high-quality authentic French groceries and staples. However, the Superette will be open for one night only on Friday 21st August – with orders open right now!
Known for being one of the best French wine bars around town, Apero has certainly built a cult following with their famed roasted cauliflower, truffle toasties, and seasonal terrines, as well as their expert wine knowledge and the friendly, casual atmosphere Apero holds.
With all of this in mind, you're going to want to get your order in fast – limited Apero stock won't last long.
Choose between contactless pickup or delivery (for central Auckland suburbs) and select what pieces you're after for a French feast at home.
On the Superette menu, you'll find Apero's charcuterie boards, with the option of a 2, 4, or 6 person board. Each contains a selection of their finest cured meats, parfaits, and rillette, as well a fresh baguette, chutney, and a selection of pickled condiments to create a mixture of flavours on the one board.
If you're feeling slightly more proactive, select an assortment of Apero's individual dishes and create your own boards or courses with dishes such as their Truffle Duck Parfait, Les' Famous Sausage by the Metre (a fan favourite), homemade terrine of the day, and a selection of French cheeses.
Of course, you can't dine on Apero's delectable morsels without a fine bottle of wine. The team at RED+WHITE Cellar have paired with Apero and opened their online cellar. Simply put "SOSAPERO" as the code at check out so they know you've come from the Apero Superette.
Now that your mouth is watering and your mind is full of French treats, head over to the online Superette to get your order in quickly – Friday is almost here!
