While you may be thinking "It's too early for hot cross buns", your mind will be swiftly changed when we tell you it's none other than Ima Cuisine who are starting off the Easter treats this year. Dubbed "The Best Hot Cross Buns In The World," this recipe is no joke.
With pre-orders kicking off next week, the team at Ima Cuisine have been gracious enough to sell the delicious buns in-store only, tomorrow. Their famous annually-sold-out hot cross buns will be back this Friday for lucky city-dwellers, on a strictly first-in first-serve basis.
So, what makes Ima's hot cross buns so irresistible? Starting off with a spiced brioche bun, (the perfect balance between soft, fluffy, and glazed around the edges) it's then sprinkled with currants and orange and lemon peels, before being topped off with a very generous cross of custard pastry cream. Their buns are unlike any other, with a deliciously sweet flavour and the perfect soft texture to tear apart.
We're warning you now, these will not last long. Opening the doors at 8am on Friday, the line will be long and the patrons, hungry. Get in early to get your hands on the fresh out the oven buns, otherwise, you'll have to wait for pre-orders next week! Don't say we didn't warn you.
