Here in Auckland, we're always spoiled for choice when it comes to seeking an international cuisine. That's one of the beauties of living in such a diverse country. This summer, Food Truck Collective is bringing all your favourite cuisines from across the globe to the friendly community of Orakei for a one night World Street Eats festival.
Taking place on Thursday January 28th, the lower end of Orakei Bay Village will transform into an arena of international street food vendors. The best of the best in Auckland will be on show for a night of tasty, fresh food and a sense of inclusivity.
Laden with fairy lights and offering spectacular views of the water, Orakei possesses a certain magical atmosphere in the heart of the city.
Dining wise, expect some of the best street dishes available – including American hot dogs from Brooklyn Dogs, French goodies from Brotisserie, Dutch classics from Double Dutch Fries, British favourites from Grub, authentic Filipino from Hapunan, Italian delights from Lalele, exquisite Spanish from Paella Pan, and of course, some Kiwi treats from Sweet As Bowl.
Enjoy a three, four, or five-course meal as you mix and match across the cuisines and food trucks to get around the world in an hour or two! The infamous Brothers Beer team will also be setting up a pop-up for their divine craft beer and offering some entertainment on the night.
There's no need to purchase a ticket, just show up on the night, with free entry and suitable for all ages – bring your friends, your family, or just yourself for a memorable summer night!
