Spring has arrived and so have all the accompanying magical things that come along with the season – including the short, but beautiful cherry blossom season. The beautiful trees open up to create a cloud of pastel flowers, dropping petals to paint the ground a hue of pink.
One particular spot in Auckland's CBD believes Spring is a time to be celebrated and honestly, we couldn't agree more!
The Glass Goose on Federal Street in Auckland Central has brought back their Spring Blossom Wonderland again for 2020, taking away your Covid-blues and turning them pink for October.
The rooftop bar has been transformed with a substantial cherry blossom tree on deck, floral vines wrapped across the eatery, and a bountiful variety of Spring cocktails to match the decor.
This year's Spring Wonderland has taken on a Down The Rabbit Hole theme, with exciting Alice In Wonderland easter eggs to find throughout the bar.
On the menu, expect to find liquid treats such as their Off With Her Head cocktail consisting of SOHO frozen Aperol Spritz, and the Curiouser & Curiouser, a Scapegrace gin blueberry mojito, as well as a Gingerbread espresso martini and tequila-based smoked margarita sour. Thirsty yet?
To sweeten the deal, $1 from every cocktail will go to charity, with the option of selecting from either TYLA or The Abilities Foundation.
If you're wanting to indulge in more than just a cocktail date at the picturesque rooftop bar, the Bottomless High Tea is for you!
Introducing this session for the first time this year, you can dive into a bottomless High Tea every Saturday during the Spring Wonderland, with treats from Little Bird Organics, The Raw Kitchen, and Real Rad Food, as well as bottomless cocktails for your two-hour session. Each week will host a different live DJ to take you from an afternoon soiree to evening party vibes.
Whether you're heading in for an after-work drink, date night, or want to round up the entire crew for a bottomless, The Glass Goose is the best spot to spend your Spring – but, get in quick, the Spring Blossom Wonderland will only be around until November 8th!
