Christmas is almost here! Which subsequently means New Year's Eve isn't far away either. This New Year's looks a little different, with borders shut and less opportunities to travel for the holidays, it's our chance to make the most of the celebrations readily available in our own cities.
Two of Auckland's favourite eateries and night-time bars are hosting some of the biggest events this December 31st in Auckland, providing an awe-inspiring night close to home.
Sitting on the Viaduct, one of the busiest spots in town on any given night, The Lula Inn will no doubt be drawing a large crowd to celebrate on their picturesque waterside deck.
Kicking off with a two or three-course set meal (your choice), you'll be kissing 2020 'goodbye' with a fabulous menu before darkness sets in and the drinks start rolling out and the party really gets started.
If you're more inclined to start the celebrations earlier, you can skip the set menus and head along to dance the night away, with entry only costing you $5 before 9pm! The Lula Inn will have DJs from 7pm and a live set from Mischief to take you into the new year.
Only a hop, skip, and jump away, Sweat Shop Brew Kitchen on Sale Street will be hosting a party of their own. Gearing up for an electric night on one of Auckland's largest outdoor decks, you won't have a chance to be bored with all the exciting offerings.
Sip away on beer and bubbles and dance into the new year with The Beat Council and DJs on deck. Entry is free before 8pm, made better with the fact you'll be situated right underneath the Sky Tower at midnight.
Don't let 2020 steal your new year's eve from you, kick 2021 off with a bang and get amongst the celebrations in Auckland – it'll be a night for the history books.
