Whether you're a longtime lover of hot sauce or you've found new love after binging Hot Ones, the annual New Zealand Hot Sauce Festival is for everyone to enjoy.
Brought to us for the fifth year in a row, Sweat Shop Brew Kitchen is bringing the hottest festival in Auckland back for 2020, which may be the good news we needed to turn this year around. Clear Saturday October 31st in your calendar, the Annual Hot Sauce Festival will be taking place from 12pm in Freeman's Bay, Auckland.
Featuring 12 of the countries best hot sauces – including K Pow! Hot Sauce, Morepork BBQ, Red Hot Kiwi Company, & Fire Dragon Chillies –you'll be able to work your way through their hot street eats and decide who your ultimate winner is.
If things get too hot, Sweat Shop will be there to cool you down with their range of ice-cold award-winning craft beer, brewed onsite.
If you're a fan of not only eating but concocting hot sauce yourself, you'll want to enter the homemade category. Bring along a bottle of your homemade sauce before 2pm to enter it in the homemade competition with a winner announced at 5pm on the day.
And if you think you're better suited to just eating the hot stuff, enter the Chilli Eating Competition, taking place on the grand stage. See just how hot you can handle your spice.
It'll be a day of great eats, lots of ice-cold drinks, and like-minded festival-goers, complete with live music all day long from Brotherhood Musiq all day.
Tickets are on sale now, for all the details on how to secure one, head over to Sweat Shop's site here!
