After an emotional rollercoaster following the announcement and subsequent postponement of one of Auckland's most beloved food festivals – it's with great pleasure we can announce The Auckland Fried Chicken Festival will return for 2020!
Brought to us by the Auckland Food Truck Collective, the 3rd annual Fried Chicken Festival was unfortunately put on hold due to the nationwide lockdown, cancelling the original 2020 festival... That is until now. This August, the beloved Fried Chicken Festival will go ahead.
Bringing together the best high-end restaurants, casual-dining food trucks, and everything in between, in one place for one day only, the Fried Chicken Festival is one of Auckland's busiest events on the year. Keep Saturday 8th August free, and grab your tickets now for one of their four dining sessions stretching from 12pm to 9pm at Auckland's Shed 10 on Queen's Wharf.
Standouts on this year's lineup include Lowbrow, Mexico, Tiger Burger, Bun Hun, and The Pie Piper, all bringing their own take on the best way to serve fried chicken. Whether you're after super spicy, mild buttermilk, extra crunchy, or Korean fried chicken, the Fried Chicken Festival will have you covered.
Vendors will also have extra treats such as ice-cold beers to pair with your hot chicken, and innovative menu items such as the famous chicken and waffle combo or the fried chicken cone.
Sweetening the deal, entry is only $10 with tickets now officially on sale here, or available at the door on the day (though, we do suggest securing your spot beforehand!). RSVP on their event page here, and keep an eye out for more upcoming details!
