This Auckland Eatery Is Making Up For The Lost Bluff Oyster Season

One of the many upsetting factors of the lockdown has to be the premature end to Bluff oyster season – a period of the year popularly celebrated in the hospitality industry. Native to New Zealand, Bluff oysters are harvested from the very bottom of the South Island and are in season for Autumn, primarily. Offering a unique taste and heritage, they're held in high regard on the list of New Zealand produce.

One Auckland restaurant has orchestrated a belated chance for you to get your Bluff fix for 2020 with a Bluff Oyster special running until May 31st. Botswana Butchery, sitting inside the old Auckland Ferry Building, has gotten their hands on the delicacy to share with their diners this month.
