KitKat Releases New Flavours For Ice Cream Lovers

KitKat Mint Choc Chip and KitKat Caramel Crisp.

There's no time for a break at KitKat HQ. This team the KitKat team have narrowed in on one specific group of snack-lovers, so ice cream fans – this one's for you. KitKat Mint Choc Chip and KitKat Caramel Crisp are now available in KitKat blocks and 4-finger snack-size bars.

Mint Choc Chip takes the original KitKat wafer and covers them in creamy mint-flavoured chocolate, topped with Swiss cocoa crisps. Caramel Crisp once again takes the original crisp wafer fingers and covers them in a creamy caramel-flavoured chocolate, topped with French caramel flakes, all set on a white chocolate base. Both KitKat flavours are available now nationwide at your local major supermarket and select convenience stores.

Chinese New Year At Eight

Celebrate the Lunar New Year at Eight.

This weekend marks the Lunar New Year, bringing us into the Year of the Metal Ox, the second of 12 Zodiac signs in Chinese Astrology. The Ox is thought to bring with it prosperity and success in business, leaving us hopeful for the year ahead.

Celebrate the start of the Lunar New Year at Eight this week, with a buffet of special dishes including XO marinated chicken, Hoison marinated sirloin, traditional dim sum, wok noodles with Chinese pork sausage and fish cake, and melon and grapefruit salad. Book in for dinner and you’ll be treated to even more traditional options including tamarind glazed pork scotch, Singapore soft shell crab, baby octopus, fried squid, steamed whole fish, black sesame ice cream, mandarin sorbet, green tea log, and mandarin slices.

The annual Britomart Street Food Festival returns for 2021, taking place Friday 12th February from 12pm to 8pm. Britomart Square will be teeming with your favourite food trucks including Brooklyn Dogs, Double Dutch Fries, Captain Crepes, Vege Bang Bang, Grownup Donuts, Grub, and Hapunan (People's Choice winner at the Street Kai Awards). There'll also be a fully-licensed bar onsite to quench your thirst, live local music, and plenty of beanbags and seating to lounge around in. McDonalds Launches America's Cup-Inspired Burgers

McDonald's has joined in the America's Cup fever with their new Emirates Team New Zealand burger range, launching Wednesday 10th February. The range includes The Skipper's Spicy Chicken with chicken, crunchy slaw, and spicy mayo; The Sailor's Double Beef with two Angus beef patties, crispy onions, beetroot, and smokey BBQ sauce; and The Foiling Crispy Fish with an NZ-caught hoki fillet, lettuce, slaw, and mayo.

The limited-time burgers are avaiable from 10:30am to 10:30pm at participating Macca's stores around the country.
